Boucles de la Mayenne (May 27-30)

« We had a great training camp at altitude at Isola 2000 with good conditions and a lot of climbing. The Mercan’Tour classic was a perfect way to finish this important building period. It was a difficult event, and it was important for me to make some hard efforts in the race. I’m happy now to race the Boucles de la Mayenne so soon after. There is always a lot of action at this race with very motivated teams. It will allow me to find the pace of the competition before taking the start of the Tour de Suisse (June 6-13). With Benoît, who has shown that he has returned to his high level, and Marc for the sprints, we can do many beautiful things.»BOB

Thirteen stages as King of the Mountains

Geoffrey Bouchard is currently racing the third Grand Tour of his career. Combining his days as King of the Mountains at the Giro this year with the time he spent in the KOM jersey at the 2019 Vuelta, means that he has spent thirteen days as the King of the Mountains over the course of his Grand Tour racing. In Spain, he took control of the famed jersey on the evening of the 16th stage and held onto it until the finish of the race to stand on the final podium in Madrid. This year, he climbed into the mountain leader’s blue jersey at the finish of the 9th stage. Currently he holds a 29 point advantage ahead of Egan Bernal.
