LAWRENCE NAESEN : “Conditions are going to be terrible”
“Three days after the Ronde Van Vlaanderen, the conditions at the Scheldeprijs are going to be terrible. Today, it snowed all over Belgium and the weather is really not good for the race. I’m a little disappointed with my classics campaign. I crashed hard at Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne and fractured some ribs. Today, I can ride but I still have pain. I have been keeping the kinesiologists busy! Tomorrow, I hope to help the team as much as possible. After that, I will head to a training camp to prepare for the Tour de Romandie and then the Giro d’Italia, which will be my first Grand Tour.”LAWRENCE NAESEN
Four riders from our team will be at the start line of the Scheldeprijs, three days after participating in the Ronde Van Vlaanderen. They are Lawrence Naesen, Stan Dewulf, Damien Touzé and Gijs Van Hoecke.
Paret-Peintre 14th in the Basque Country
Aurélien Paret-Peintre finished the second stage of the Itzulia Basque Country in 14th place in the group of favorites. "After three weeks without racing since Paris-Nice, I'm glad to see that the good sensations have come back quite quickly after a short and very intense time trial."
