« I have not raced since Liège-Bastogne-Liège (April 25); it’s been a while since I’ve pinned on a number. I always like racing in the Coupes de France. Those events are always very animated and interesting. The Tour du Finistère is following on the heels of a team training camp at Grand Bornand. Even if the weather was not always perfect, we were able to do some good training sessions. I will enjoy my stay in Brittany and take the opportunity to preview the final of the first stage of the Tour de France that arrives in Landerneau. And then we can also have a look at the Mur de Bretagne (2nd stage). After the Finistère, I will follow-up by racing the Boucles de la Mayenne (May 27-30) to accumulate some race days. »BENOÎT
Lawrence Naesen took tenth place at the end of the 11th stage of the Giro, which covered 35 kilometers of strade bianche: "We had the chance to gain quite a bit of time on the peloton in the break today. The day was really difficult, it looked like a mini classic. To finish in the top ten on such a stage for my first Grand Tour, I'm happy.”
Bouchard remains in blue
For the third consecutive day, Geoffrey Bouchard will wear the leading jersey of the King of the Mountains classification tomorrow at the start of the 12th stage: "The white gravel roads were a discovery for me. I tried not to take any risks in anticipation of a hard stage tomorrow in the mountains.”
